Umbro Industries is a new initiative from Umbro geared towards giving potential Manchester based creators the financial backing they need. You know how it is: you've a great idea for an exhibition, a gig, a club night or project, you've got the contacts and you need to make it happen, you just need a little helping hand. That's where Umbro Industries comes in. If your idea is fresh, and your drive and devotion to create is infectious, then we'll get behind you.

The Winter 09 installment of Umbro Industries kicks into gear on Monday, November 2, when the site will reopen for entries. Anyone in Greater Manchester will be able to enter their ideas and be in with a chance of winning all or part of the £10,000 bursary.

The site will be open for this installment until January 27, after which the panel of six top creative and business minds will look over the entries and pick their favourites. Those shortlisted will then be invited to pitch directly to the panel on February 20.
