This creative and innovative project has the very simple aim of catapulting young ex-offenders into the events industry, training them in a range of skills that will lead to long term employment and revealling to them the vast range of opportunities that the event world holds for anyone with the desire and skills to create a show. We will take an ex-military troop transporter truck and adapt it so that it contains it's own power source, lighting rig and sound system. With it's 'go anywhere' 4 wheel drive capabilites the vehicle will suit a wide range of events from parades and processions to fesivals and corporate shows. Once created the team will market and deliver the stage truck which means it will be a continous training experience as well as a source of paid employment. And as members find other employment in the events industry they will be replaced with new younger inexperienced ex-offenders and so the training legacy will continue. We already have one major client, Walk The Plank, who are comitting to using the Paddy Wagon every time they have an art car parade, currently around 3 per year. We will have more clients very soon, just need the initial cash to get this wagon on the road.
