The Manchester Indie Choir is taking the traditional choir set up and giving it a new meaning for a modern city using the modern classic’s from the Manchester music scene past and present. Singing everything from The Smiths to The Holly’s, The Manchester Indie Choir is already becoming the voice of a city, that’s waiting for the next youth movement to come and shake thing up in the wake of this great depression...

Anyone is welcome to join the Choir, any ages, or singing ability! The Indie Choir we will be singing classic indie songs and you have to look indie. Thinking maybe Liam Gallagher wigs! :)

The Choir will have signing teachers that are in the Choir, helping us get the right sound and conduct the Choir.

We are also looking for musicians to play along with the choir, any instrument is welcome, we will find a place in the Choir for that person to play along!

This is a brand new project; we are looking funding and sponsorship.

We need funding to for rehearsal space, singing teachers, piano players, a website, equipment and travel expenses so that when we are ready we can take the Choir on tour around the country, starting and culminating in a huge free gigs in Manchester for the public!

Ideally this project will be lots of fun and may lead to excellent gigs around the country entertaining many people and hopefully inspiring a few people to start then own projects.
