DiscRebel provides a way to distribute digital downloads in the flesh.

Most download services are online services only. We're a download service that bridges the gap between the online world and the physical world. We offer an altogether new way to deliver downloads, from studio recordings to samplers, pre-releases and other exclusive content.

DiscRebel is a way to sell downloads through artist-specific download cards. Artists upload songs to the DiscRebel site and design artwork for a plastic download card. DiscRebel prints the cards with a unique redemption code on the back, and artists then sell them to fans at live shows. Fans enter that access code on the DiscRebel site and receive credits to download that artist's media.

The download cards can be sold as an alternative to CDs, bundled with other merchandise, or given away as a promotional item.

Today's music fan is passionate, internet-savvy, and always looking for new ways to discover music. DiscRebel put's a high priority on interoperability; we give fans music in MP3 format, which is playable on any computer or portable music player like the iPod.

Artists and labels don't have to wait for music to be processed, approved and uploaded by a third-party. They control the content. Media can be added and removed from the site in a matter of minutes not days or weeks. We also provide artists, labels, events and brands, with extensive reports that include not only detailed statistics on the number of cards redeemed and songs downloaded, but also key demographics like age, gender and location, as well as the email addresses of fans who opt-in.
