BBYCKS TV
2 year old subculture consisting of a huge selling clothing line, worldwide parties, flagship Manchester store and now launch of BBYCKS TV
Submitted by babycakes.
Babycakes wants to develop its position as the UKs most popular myspace and youtube profiles, and properly launch WWW.BBYCKS.TV.
To date we make all our videos using home cam-corders, flipcams or borrowed equipment. When we were in LA earlier in 2009 we paid a film-maker to document our trip, and it made a real difference with the quality of our output
We now want to concentrate on documenting the entire Babycakes sub-culture, be it from sell out parties to every day live in Babycakes HQ.
To achieve this aim we require investment in our own recording equipment, editing software at our HQ and ideally would like to have someone on a retainer to achieve professional output with the videos being produced rather than our home-made efforts
We have full support of websites such as myspace who regularly feature Babycakes on their homepages, but we want to improve our audio-visual output and be a foreleader in a youth-led online TV channel, which will give an insight into Babycakes and its central Manchester HQ and creative ground, hopefully inspiring other teenagers to follow their passions, break the mould and develop something groundbreaking.
If our application is successful it will be used to purchase a HDV camcorder as well as some stationary web-style cameras in the central Babycakes HQ, necessary Mac editing and formatting equipment to be based at our HQ, as well as a nominal monthly wage for a filmmaker to lead BBYCKS TV and produce the material. As well as the physical materials, we will also develop the platform www.bbycks.tv as a seperate entity to become its own channel, away from youtube, and also develop to host other peoples material, as well as potential advertising/sponsorship deals.
This is a chance to really celebrate to the world a young growing entrepreneur in 22 year old Paul Griffiths, and a Manchester-based global success story.
